Credit for prior learningAdvance standing, credit for studies undertaken previously, transfer students
Students may apply for credit transfer for prior learning, which includes formal study undertaken in recognised tertiary institutions around the world, including universities, colleges, vocational and other post-secondary education institutions.

Overseas institutions will be recognised to the extent to which they are considered to be equivalent to particular types of British institutions and consideration may extend under certain conditions, to programs provided by recognised professional bodies, employers and other authorities, where appropriate certification is available, and demonstrable expertise and relevant experience.

Credit will normally be granted for prior learning where relevant studies (or other demonstrated learning achievement) have been completed within 10 years.

As a rule, if you are applying for credit, you are encouraged to provide us with the following documents (originals or certified copied where necessary) with the application form and relevant transcripts.

  •  Completed application form and relevant documents pertaining to the application
  •  Academic transcripts for prior study which shows all the classes for which credit is being applied for
  •  Course desctiptions for all classes for which credit is being applied for
  •  IF a qualification was completed, the completion certificate
