The International Foundation Programme is a pre-University qualification that is equivalent to ‘A’ Levels. It is designed to prepare students for further study in the CRIC 1st Year Degree Programme and Anglia Ruskin University undergraduate degree Programmes. The duration of the International Foundation Programme depends on your academic programme and which degree you are applying for at Anglia Ruskin University. The programme varies between one (12 weeks) and two (24 weeks) semesters of study. Entry Dates The programme has three (3) intakes per year in September, February and June. Assessment Assessment for most modules is continuous, consisting of tests, assignments and case study analysis. Most modules have a final two-hour examination. Programme Structure The programme is comprised of four modules each semester, eight modules in total. To be awarded the International Foundation Programme Certificate students must complete and pass all modules. Each module is tailored towards the undergraduate degree the student wishes to pursue at Anglia Ruskin University. Students only study modules that are relevant to their degree. English Language Requirement Students who do not meet the English language requirement are able to undertake the required amount of English language training to prepare them for successful entry into the International Foundation Programme. The English language training is conducted by Anglia Ruskin University’s English Department which is listed among the Guardian’s ‘Six of the Best’ performing universities for English excellence, ranking third in the Guardian’s subject table behind Oxford and Cambridge.
